Got A Luxury Automobile? Reasons You Should Have Repairs Made At A Luxury Auto Repair Shop

Posted on

Luxury vehicles are vehicles that have more high-end features compared to standard vehicles. While technically, any car manufacturer can make luxury vehicles, most people often think of European car manufacturers, such as BMW, Mercedes, and Audi, when referencing luxury vehicles. If you have a luxury vehicle that is in need of repair, it is important to bring your vehicle to an experienced and licensed luxury auto repair shop. Here are a few of the reasons why.

Luxury Repair Technicians Have the Right Tools to Repair Your Vehicle

One of the most overlooked reasons why you should bring your luxury vehicle to a luxury auto repair shop when repairs are needed is because the tools and equipment needed to repair your vehicle differs. In Europe, the metric system is used for measurements, whereas, in the US, the imperial system is used. The tools commonly sold in the US used imperial measurements, whereas the ones sold in Europe use metric measurements. A luxury auto shop may need metric-based tools to properly remove bolts and screws from European vehicles.

Luxury Repair Technicians Are Trained in Luxury Car Repairs

Anytime you are looking for an auto mechanic, you should look for a mechanic that has Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) certifications. However, if you are looking for a mechanic for your luxury vehicle, you should also look for a mechanic that is certified by the manufacturer of your vehicle. Many luxury brands, including BMW, Mercedes Benz, Audi, and Porsche, offer their own certifications to mechanics who have shown they have the expertise and knowledge to work on their specific types of vehicles. The position of parts in luxury cars can differ, so it is important for a mechanic to be familiar with the luxury vehicle they are completing repairs on.

Luxury Auto Repair Shops Are Able to Get OEM Parts

Lastly, many luxury auto manufacturers will only sell their OEM (original equipment manufacturer) parts to auto repair shops that they have certified. If you are not using a certified luxury auto repair shop, they may not be using the parts that the manufacturer recommends be used in your vehicle. Always ask a luxury auto repair shop if they can get and use OEM parts in your luxury vehicle before hiring them for a repair job.

Luxury automobiles are not built the same as standard vehicles, and as such, you need an auto repair shop that has the tools and experience to properly repair your automobile. Reach out to a local luxury auto repair shop if your luxury vehicle is in need of maintenance, repairs, or collision repair.
